Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder

1.0  DESCRIPTION
The current edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) indicates that the essential feature of Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a persistent pattern of inattention and/or hyperactivity-impulsivity that is more frequent and severe than is typically observed in individuals at a comparable level of development.
2.0  POLICY
Otherwise allowable services that are necessary to diagnose and treat ADHD may be cost-shared.
3.0  EXCLUSIONS
3.1  Services and supplies related to general or special education.
3.2  Prescription digital therapeutics (EndeavorRx), including associated devices and mobile medical applications, for the treatment ADHD is unproven.
